How ParrotClicks Works

What makes us different illustration

What makes ParrotClicks different?

Websites are just like servicing your car. It’s something that needs doing, but you don’t want to (and shouldn’t) spend a fortune on. However, it needs to be done well, so that you don’t have to come back for any more fixes.

You could service the car yourself (which would take longer, but works out cheaper… until you hit a major problem or limitation). Or, you could take the car to the main dealer (which is also great if you’re willing to spend thousands). Alternatively, you could come to ParrotClicks – the equivalent to getting your car serviced by a local, reasonably priced mechanic with tens of years experience from several luxury car brands.

Our lower price tags don’t translate to poor quality or worse customer service. In fact, the opposite. The ParrotClicks team is made up of experienced, friendly and helpful designers and developers who are ready to help you in any way they can.

What's Included?

Website Content

Your website is the face of your business and acts as your 24/7 salesperson. It needs to tell your website visitors what you do, while making you stand out from your competition.

A successful website needs to have relevant photos and well-written text. However, it can be surprisingly difficult to write about yourself.

Using the information gathered from your appointment, we create persuasive website content. This includes:

  • Headings to summarise your pages. Ensuring that visitors and search engines know what the page is about.
  • Paragraphs to describe your business.
  • Descriptions of your services using your information and our own research.
  • Frequently Asked Questions to answer your visitor’s most common questions.

Design and Development

Well-written content is important. However, it will be completely ineffective if the site is poorly structured and hard to use. Your new website needs to immediately catch new users’ attention while they make a decision about whether to browse your website. That’s why our in-house designers will create a clean and modern design and will ensure it looks good on every device!

  • We have a library of designs for you to choose from. These have a wide variety of layouts and colours to complement your brand.
  • ParrotClicks will source images for you to make the website look convincing and make it ready to go live straight away. We can add more photos for you, or swap these out for your own photos if you have them.
  • The website will work well on every device, including desktops, tablets and smartphones. This is important as Google ranks your website based on how it looks and how quick it is on mobile. Most people also use their phones to search for services and products.

Your Account Manager

We will give you a dedicated account manager who you will work with from your first phone call and onwards. The account manager will walk you through the onboarding process and will stay in contact after your site goes live.

After your onboarding process, your account manager will talk you through our ParrotClicks portal. Which allows you to stay on top of your active sites, edit and support requests, invoices and account details.

  • Your friendly UK-based account manager wants to hear from you and will gladly answer any questions throughout the onboarding process and after the site goes live.
  • They will provide you with exclusive deals and advice.
  • The account manager will monitor the progress of your website once it has launched.
  • The dashboard allows you to stay in touch with your account manager and request changes to your site after your website has launched (edits are free!).

Technical and Boring

We handle all the technical bits so that you don’t have to. Our team stays on top of everything technical so that you can focus on running your business.

Here are a few features you might want to know about:

  • Premium web hosting is included. Web hosting is where your site lives and is what allows visitors to access your website. We only use top of the line, high-performance and premium hosting.
  • A Google Maps map to show your visitors where you are. It’s completely interactive and allows the user to see how far they are from your business, as well as get directions to your premises.
  • We’ll optimise your website for Google. This will help Google find and list your content in search results.
  • Your professional domain name (eg. yourbusiness.co.uk) and 5 free email forwarders (eg. [email protected]) which redirect emails to your personal account.

Here’s the technical stuff!

  • Hosting: we use top-of-the-line, London-based hosting (powered by 100% green energy!). Our cloud servers run LiteSpeed web server and only use SSDs. This also comes with daily off-site backups (held for 30 days each).
  • Security: free 256-bit SSL certificate (HTTPS), combined with server-side security, protection against brute force attacks, web application firewalls (WAF), DDoS protection, reCaptchas and more.
  • CDN: we use a content delivery network (CDN), caching and static file compression service to boost the performance of your site.
  • Domain: we’ll register and renew your .co.uk or .com domain name every year. We also utilise a DNS hosting service to maximise availability.
  • Monitoring: our technical department keeps a close eye on hosting availability, with real-time monitoring and notifications.
  • SEO: we manage schema and metadata to keep search engines informed about your site. We’ll also add your website to Google Search Console, where your actively-updated sitemap will be posted.
  • Email: if you upgrade to hosted email accounts, we’ll use high availability email services that can be accessed through Gmail.
  • Updates: we’ll maintain all software and services; running monthly maintenance to ensure high security of your website and our services.
£35 per month

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the process take?

It usually takes around a week from the point of your first interaction to the point when your site goes live. Although we work as quickly as we can and deliver your first website draft within 48 hours, you may need some time to provide us with feedback or send us your images. Any changes and edits you request are usually completed within 24 hours.

How much does a website cost?

We have two pricing packages, which are Monthly and Annual. The monthly package costs £35 per month, paid month-to-month. Optionally, you can save £60 by paying for the year upfront which works out at £30 per month (£360 as one payment). However, you may want to add some add-ons to your package. For more information about our pricing and add-ons, please go to Pricing page.

Are there any hidden fees?

Nope! Everything is outlined on our Pricing page.

Am I tied into any long term contracts?

If you're on the annual package, you can cancel at any time. However, if you're paying month-to-month, you're essentially paying for the annual package but in 12 monthly instalments. This means that you will need to either keep paying until you've made 12 equal payments, or pay off the outstanding amount early before you can cancel your service with us.

What happens after the initial 12 months?

Aside from the costs associated with creating your website, the fee you pay us also covers our support, unlimited edits, hosting, email forwarders and domain renewal. Therefore, if you wish to keep these services active, you will need to continue paying for the service after the initial 12 months, but you're still getting a killer deal!

What happens if I don’t like the design?

If you're unhappy with how the draft site looks, just let us know! Your account manager will do everything to ensure that the site we build meets your expectations and accurately reflects your business.
